CFP® stands for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. To obtain the CFP® designation, professionals must meet rigorous standards by fulfilling comprehensive educational, examination, experience, and ethics requirements.
A CFP® Professional is legally and ethically bound to act as a fiduciary, providing advice in their client’s best interests at all times. Although it is reasonable to expect a financial advisor to prioritize clients’ best interests, the reality is that the fiduciary standard is only upheld by a subset of professionals under the very broad ‘financial advisor’ umbrella.

Hi there, I’m Chandler!
I’m the founder of Moneyfluent, and I’m on a mission to demystify personal finances for my fellow Millennials. During my career at conventional advisory firms, I encountered a recurring dilemma — reluctantly turning away individuals who didn’t meet our investment minimum. I soon realized a glaring need for more inclusive planning solutions that break from expensive, traditional service models.
So, I created Moneyfluent — streamlined, concise planning programs tailor-made for our generation. Every day, I’m excited to guide my fellow 30-somethings through their evolving wealth-building journeys. My approach is simple:

Chandler Fugate-Laus is a fee-only CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), XY Planning Network, Fee-Only Network, and Advice-Only Network. Formerly a partner at a boutique firm, Chandler brings extensive experience to her practice. After beginning her career as an actuarial analyst, Chandler transitioned to financial planning where she could leverage her math skills to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She built her expertise at an all-inclusive concierge firm and eventually co-launched and grew her own firm, one of the few 100% multi-female-owned firms nationwide, to serve 100+ households with $120M+ assets under management.
Today, Chandler is dedicated to serving a more diverse clientele. As an expert resource and encouraging partner, Chandler equips her clients to make sound money decisions and develop financial wellness. As the daughter of an immigrant family, she is especially passionate about working with 1st/2nd generation Americans as well as couples as they merge their finances, setting them up for a prosperous future.
Fun Facts: Chandler is a classically-trained violinist, and while she now only plays for fun, she keeps in touch with her musical side by singing, bopping, and volunteering with The Harmony Project, a 500-voice choir focused on connecting all people across social divides through the arts, song, and community service. Chandler lives in downtown Columbus, OH, with her better half, Eric.
